My Journey
I have had my fair share of health issues in life from the fairly minor symptoms associated with IBS and digestive disturbances to the more serious problems of skin cancer to a life threatening brain tumour.
Fortunately I am still here to tell the tale and I feel that I have been extremely lucky to be able to use my knowledge and skills to get myself well which is not to downplay the role of medical professionals because they too have played a vital part.
However, having learnt early on that I am ultimately responsible for my health I realised that it was up to me to find out all that I could about my body and the best way to achieve optimum health.
Training in complementary medicine was the best thing I ever did as it opened a door that allowed me to be able to simply and effectively test for the underlying cause of my symptoms, address the imbalances and accelerate my recovery from illness and injuries.
Training and Experience
I trained as a sports massage therapist in 2000 while I was doing my degree in Biomedical Science at Southampton University. I subsequently trained to be an advanced practitioner in applied Kinesiology in 2001 and followed that with a PGCE in post compulsory education at Portsmouth University.
I opened a health clinic in 2001 and initially used my sports massage skills to treat clients for musculoskeletal issues and injuries. I then expanded my services to use my Kinesiology training to treat people with a range of health issues from IBS, food intolerances and allergies to sleeping issues and mental health problems.
In 2024 I studied Energy Medicine, a life changing course which utilised all my Kinesiology knowledge and taught me how to navigate the complex energy systems of the human body.
